Carbon Accounting Conference 2025
7th October | Ladbroke Hall, London + Virtual
An event to inspire a radical acceleration of climate impact.
Why attend?
Designed by carbon accounting professionals. Agenda and speakers will be chosen based on their value-add from people in the know.
No time for the generic. This will be a place for in-depth and practical discussions on niche topics that move the needle.
A space for genuine collaboration. Being focused allows us to bring extremely relevant people together so that we can align technically and advance best-practice.

Objectives & topics
The event is designed for those with experience in measuring carbon emissions, whether that be in an in-house sustainability role, an independent or a service provider. Some of questions we are likely to ask and debate:
How should we conduct primary data collection & validation most effectively (include re-baselining)?
How should we better determine the quality of emission factors?
Discussion on Scope 2: how to maximise impact with RECs, PPAs and time-matched RECs ? Does market-based accounting need reform?
When is consequential LCA thinking useful in practice, and practical examples of how they can aid decision making?
What best-practice and alignment could we implement for Product Carbon Footprints within specific industries?
What constitutes residual emissions and how can we define this more precisely as an industry?
How do we meaningfully reduce emissions hard-to-decarbonise industries including aviation, chemicals, steel, cement, agriculture?
What is a quality carbon credit, avoidance vs. removals, how to navigate the ratings, standards and claims?
The aim is to make speaker slots, panels and collaborative sessions practical, technical and actionable. We want to make meaningful progress as an industry, whilst achieving our 3 objectives:
Education: To ensure delegates are more informed on practical ways to have more climate impact
Demystification: To demystify controversial topics and provide delegates with nuanced views
Collaboration: To enable collaboration and technical alignment on key topics
A collaborative agenda
The agenda is being developed collaboratively with our community, to ensure the topics, speakers and format is most suited to achieve our objectives.
If you believe you have valuable content and opinions to share, we encourage you apply or nominate individuals before 24th March.
